<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which reduces power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A disk device 1 is driven by a battery 11 and comprises: remaining level detecting means for detecting remaining level of the battery 11; reading means for reading information recorded on a disk; recording means for recording the information read by the reading means from the disk; and recorded information reading means for reading the information recorded by the recording means. The disk device 1 also comprises first determining means for determining whether the remaining level of the battery 11 detected by the remaining level detecting means is equal to or more than a first threshold or not. The reading means reads the information at a double-speed or higher when the first determining means determines the remaining level of the battery 11 is equal to or more than the first threshold, and reads the information at a normal speed when the first determining means determines the remaining level of the battery 11 is less than the first threshold and the recorded information reading means reads all the information recorded on the recording means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
