<p>Provided is a vehicle control system equipped with an alternator that generates power by being driven with torque transmitted from an engine that is the motive power source of a vehicle, and wherein the amount of power to be generated by the alternator can be adjusted. When a fuel cut control, wherein supplying of fuel to the engine is stopped while the vehicle is running, is being executed, the vehicle control system controls the amount of power to be generated by the alternator (S3) on the basis of a physical quantity that changes in accordance with an accelerator manipulation by a driver (S2). The amount of power to be generated by the alternator is controlled on the basis of the accelerator opening, the throttle opening, and/or a target value for the driving force of the vehicle that is based on the accelerator opening.</p> |
