<p>A mobile terminal includes: a decoder configured to decode compressed motion picture data to thereby generate motion picture data; and a display configured to have a screen where a motion picture in accordance with the motion picture data is displayed. The decoder changes quality of the motion picture in accordance with a size of a region in the screen where the motion picture is displayed. For example, the decoder reduces the quality of the motion picture with a decrease in the size of the region described above. Here, the quality of the motion picture refers to the number of frames of the motion picture or the resolution of the motion picture. In this way, the power consumption of the mobile terminal is reduced.</p> |
