The invention relates to the branch of applied physics and directed to achievement of opportunity to change the intensity level of radioactive irradiation (mainly towards its decrease) of radioactive materials as well as neutralization of radioactivity. The method provides for action on radioactive material by irradiation of ferrimagnets being in the state of resonance of its domains under action of excited action of electromagnetic field which is implemented until state of magnetic compensation of domains, then on ferrimagnets is excitedly activated by switching electromagnetic field with frequencies, corresponding to resonance of magnetic sublattices. Spinel-structure ferritic rods are used as ferrimagnets. The device for reduction of radioactive material irradiation intensity comprises a condencer connected to electromagnetic oscillator with rods made of ferrimagnets located in the interelectrode space where a condenser is made as cylindrical electrodes located coaxially, ferrimagnets being located between them and the device comprises two additional electromagnetic oscillators connected to the condenser through a switchboard. |
