PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method of eliminating bubbles existing inside molten glass in a melting process for a glass plate, particularly a glass substrate for display, more particularly a glass plate for flat panel display, a glass plate used as a photomask or a glass material for optical components such as a lens or an optical filter. SOLUTION: In the method of eliminating the inside bubbles existing inside the molten glass, the inside bubbles in the molten glass is removed by irradiating/converging laser beams to the vicinity of the inside bubbles.
