PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus using an in board camera for supporting a driver for selecting a correct route just before the route selection spot based on the recoded images photographed circumference scenery, traffic-control sign of routing spot designated on a map from far spot in advance, by interlocking a map device with photographed image. SOLUTION: A camera 110 zoom-photographs the designated spots such as a crossroads with a CMOS sensor 112 of global shutter type, records its image signal on the recording medium by the recording/reproducing circuit 122, wherein, by the CMOS sensor 112 of global shutter type, a photographed image of a moving object without deformation can be obtained without a mechanical shutter. Before the designated spot, on an upper frame 133a of a display screen 132, the photographed image from the signal recording/reproducing circuit 122 is displayed and at the same time the upper image information of the road map from a map navigation 140 and the image information of a running spot and designated spot are made to display, for drive supporting by allowing the comparison with real scenery of the designated point and the recognition of the positional information.
