Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine; and (2) a method for heating a system component, involves carrying out a physical reaction with a stationary system component made of zeolite component, water or alcohol, and carrying out a chemical reaction with a stationary system component made of alkaline earth metal oxide, particularly potassium oxide. |
