PURPOSE: A server and a client device for providing a video information related to a media file via the internet are provided to simplify the process for verifying a sound source and generating an index by creating the index through a partial download of the sound source. CONSTITUTION: A database(220) stores a characteristic index of sound sources. If a video information request about a media file is received, a searcher(230) searches the characteristic index that matches a search index by interlinking with the database. The search index is generated based on the media file. A gathering unit(240) collects moving pictures related to the media file based on a characteristic index and a sound source corresponding to the characteristic index. A communication unit(250) offers the video information to a user client.
