Method for determining the temperature of liquid metal, signal processing device and metallurgical device

The method involves extracting liquid metal (Mi) from a container (2), which is associated to a metallurgical device (1), by a tapping process. A tapping stream (A) is formed by the extracted liquid metal. A temperature of a section of the tapping stream is continuously determined during the tapping process based on electromagnetic radiations emitted by the tapping stream using an emission degree. The emission degree is based on a composition of the liquid metal to be extracted. An average temperature of the tapped liquid metal is determined from the determined temperature. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a signal processing device for determining a temperature for a section of tapped stream from liquid metal (2) a metallurgical device for producing and/or processing liquid metal.
