Novel herbicides are provided. A haloalkylsulfonanilide derivative represented by the formula (1) or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof:
the formula (1):
wherein A is -C(R 7 )(R 8 )- or -N(R 9 )-,
W is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, n is an integer of from 1 to 4, R 1 is halo C 1 -C 6 alkyl, R 2 is a hydrogen atom, C 1 - C 6 alkyl or the like, each of R 3 and R 4 is independently a hydrogen atom, C 1 - C 6 alkyl or the like, each of R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 is independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen, C 1 - C 6 alkyl or the like, R 9 is a hydrogen atom, C 1 - C 6 alkyl or the like, and X is halogen, C 1 - C 6 alkyl or the like.
