<p>Use of polyvinyl isoacetal as binders in printing ink formulation, is claimed. The acetal group of polyvinyl isoacetal comprises at least one aliphatic keto compound with 4-10 carbon atoms having at least one branching at an alpha or beta position to the keto group. An independent claim is also included for use of a mixture of polyvinyl isoacetal with at least one additional polyvinyl acetal as a binder in printing ink formulations, where the acetal group of polyvinyl isoacetal results from at least one aliphatic keto compound with 4-10 carbon atoms having at least one branching at alpha or beta position to the keto group, and at least one additional polyvinyl acetal obtained by the reaction of polyvinyl alcohol with at least one additional aliphatic keto compound with 2-10 carbon atoms.</p> |
