PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)-based porous membrane and the PTFE-based porous membrane manufactured by the same are provided to increase the porosity of the membrane by maintaining the area of nodes and increasing the number of fine fibril. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing PTFE-based porous membrane includes the following: PTFE fine powder is fibrillated based on a ball-milling method. Liquid lubricant is mixed with the fibrillated fine powder to obtain paste. The paste is extruded and rolled into a sheet state. The extruded sheet is casted. The thickness of the extruded sheet is between 0.1 and 1mm. The casting process is implemented at a temperature between 150 and 350 degrees Celsius.
