FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: device includes a shell made from fire-resistant material, which is located inside the hot metal tapping hole provided in the furnace wall brick, and packing material that fills a gap between shell and hot metal tapping hole for fixing of the shell. Shell has the shape of semi-cylinder formed by cutting the lower surface of cylindrical fire-resistant element. Taphole repair method involves disassembly and removal of the worn-out part of packing material from the gap between fire-resistant shell and hot metal tapping hole along the straight line on the side of outer surface in the direction to inner surface side and filling of new packing material to the gap. Removal of worn-out and damaged fire-resistant shell is performed and new fire-resistant shell made in the form of a semi-cylinder is placed. ^ EFFECT: use of invention provides service life increase of taphole and reduces the time required for its repair. ^ 5 cl, 11 dwg |
