<p>PURPOSE: A light emitting diode with an expanded metal reflecting layer and manufacturing method thereof are provided to reflect light in an area adjacent to the separation areas among light emitting cells without loss/absorption, thereby increasing light emitting performance. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light emitting cells(200) is formed on one surface of a transparent substrate(100). A light emitting cell comprises a first conductive semiconductor layer(220), an active layer(240), and a second conductive semiconductor layer(260). A first electrode(242) and a second electrode(290) apply AC power to the first conductive semiconductor layer and the second conductive semiconductor layer. The first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected with a metal wiring layer(420). A step cover layer(400) comprises first and second insulation layers(410,430) and a metal reflecting layer(450).</p> |
