PURPOSE: A benz-X-azole dye for detecting heavy metal ions, and a producing method thereof are provided to apply the benz-X-azole dye to a dye chemical sensor for the heavy metal ions. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of benz-X-azole dye A and B marked with chemical formula 1 or 2, respectively comprises the following steps: reacitng p-aminosalicylic acid with o-aminophenol or o-aminothiophenol to obtain a first benz-X-azole based intermediate and a second benz-X-azole based intermediate; reacting the first benz-X-azole based intermediate with terephthaldehyde to obtain the benz-X-azole dye A; and reacting the second benz-X-azole based intermediate with the terephthaldehyde to obtain the benz-X-azole dye B.
