<p>Manganese dioxide is to be provided in a stable nanoparticulate form. This can be achieved by bringing manganese in a higher oxidation state than +IV in an aqueous solution in contact with an ammonia-functionalized spherical polyelectrolyte brush (SPB). Thus, SPBs are obtained, containing colloidally bound, nanoparticulate MnO2. Said SPB is used as a catalyst in oxidation reactions, in particular for enhancing the cleaning performance of detergents and cleaners.</p> |
