<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device of an outboard motor, preventing entrance of abrasion powder generated in a lock-up clutch into an oil circulation circuit or a lubricating oil passage of an engine, and torque capacity of the lock-up clutch can be sufficiently increased without influence of structure of the torque converter. <P>SOLUTION: An upper end of a turbine shaft 3 passing through a central part of the torque converter T and extended in a vertical direction thereof is supported to be relatively rotatable by a lower end of a crankshaft 1. A transmission cover 14 covering a back face of a turbine impeller 12 and rotatably supported by the turbine shaft 3 is disposed continuously to an outer peripheral end of the pump impeller 10 disposed below the turbine impeller 12. The outer peripheral part of the transmission cover 14 is integrally connected with the lower end of the crankshaft 1 through a clutch cover 17, and a dry type lock-up clutch L is housed in the clutch cover 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
