<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-node communication system and method used for requesting, reporting, and collecting destination node base measurement and path reference measurement. <P>SOLUTION: A communication system can be a mesh network including a plurality of mesh points (Mesh Point: MP). A destination node base measurement request is transmitted to one or more destination nodes by destination unicast, destination multicast, or destination broadcast, using a path designated by next hop unicast addressing, next hop multicast addressing, or next hop broadcast addressing.
