The lamp has a vessel (100) that encloses a light source (103) i.e. coiled filament. An interference filter coating (108) with alternating high and low optical refractive index layers is arranged on a surface of the vessel, where the filter coating is formed as a color filter. The coating is utilized for raising color temperature of white light produced by the light source. A region (1013) of the coating is arranged on a vessel surface section (1012) enclosing the light source. Another region of the coating is arranged outside the surface section enclosing the light source.
