PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a name plate is provided to maintain gloss of the surface of the name plate and to offer a twinkling effect due to overlay and reflection of light. CONSTITUTION: A name plate(20) is manufactured by cutting a flat plate so that a shape of a desired character or figure becomes an outline. The name plate is attached and fixed to the upper side of a diamond rubber plate. A cutter which contains diamond materials forms a fine groove of a diagonal shape with a constant depth in the name plate which is fixed to the diamond rubber plate.
