<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-water heater that can reduce power consumption when incoming water is hot, and is excellent in the coefficient of performance. <P>SOLUTION: The hot-water heater is characterized by: employing a heat pump as a heater, in which a compressor 1, a refrigerant-to-water heat exchangers (7, 8), a decompressor 3, and a refrigerant-to-air heat exchanger 4 are sequentially connected; connecting the refrigerant-to-water heat exchangers (7, 8) in series a plurality of times; and being provided with a by-pass channel 18 for bypassing one of a plurality of the refrigerant-to-water heat exchangers (7, 8). The hot-water heater is configured to adjust, when the heat load varies, the heat exchange rate of the refrigerant-to-water heat exchangers and the refrigerant amount in a cooling system, thereby preventing the discharging refrigerant pressure of the compressor from rising, and the consumption power from increasing, and also minimizing the deterioration of the operation efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
