<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film that excels in transportability and has excellent bonding properties during a bonding process in processing the polarizing plate, and to provide the method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In cases where an optical film with a hard coat layer disposed on one surface of the film substrate is cut in a size of 35 mm in the width direction of the film substrate and 2 mm in the longitudinal direction when the optical film is produced, and placed under an environment at a temperature of 25°C and relative humidity of 65% for an hour, the measured curl value is smaller than zero, when the curl value of a curl which makes the surface of the optical film with the hard coat layer inner-curled is set as plus, and the curl value of a curl which makes said surface outer-curled is set as minus. In cases where the optical film is cut in a size of 2 mm in the width direction of the film substrate and 35 mm in the longitudinal direction, and placed under an environment at a temperature of 25°C and relative humidity of 65% for an hour, the measured curl value is larger than zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
