<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which stored goods can be sufficiently illuminated even if a tall food is stored near a lighting unit. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes a refrigerator body with a storage compartment, a placing base provided in the storage compartment and placed with stored goods, and the lighting unit provided below the placing base.
