<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type touch sensor capable of highly accurately detecting many touch positions. <P>SOLUTION: The capacitance type touch sensor comprises: a touch panel part; and a signal processing circuit part. The touch panel part is constituted to include first to fourth detection electrodes 11-14 arranged on an insulating substrate 10, first and second common potential lines 15 and 16, a common potential wiring 17, a common potential terminal COM, and first to fourth output terminals CO1-CO4. The signal processing circuit part is constituted to include a clock generator 18, a selection circuit 19, a charge amplifier 20, an AD converter 21, and an arithmetic unit 30.
