<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring direction checking apparatus capable of visually checking a monitoring direction of security sensor from an appropriate place where an installation person seldom makes an error. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring direction checking apparatus 1 comprises two windows 18 which a checker sees through for checking a monitoring direction of a security sensor 2. Each of the windows is arranged on two mutually different monitoring directions of the security sensor 2. An outer periphery of each of the windows on the side facing each other has an edge part 19 that has a contour shaped in a manner similar to another window, has the same center as the own shape and is visible. An eye location is adjusted so as to make an outer edge at the edge part of the back window match an outer edge of the front window. If a target is visible in a monitoring area within the visual field, the monitoring direction is appropriate.
