<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency of removal of scale adhering to a filter in a humidifier. <P>SOLUTION: The humidifier includes: an approximately cylindrical humidification filter 24; a drive means 37 rotating the humidification filter 24; a water storage part 27 storing water to be supplied to the humidification filter 24; and a contact member 29 coming into contact with the humidification filter 24. By rotating the humidification filter 24 by the drive means 37, at least part of the surface of the humidification filter 24 and the contact member 29 are brought into sliding contact with each other in the water, and by operating the drive means 37, solid matters such as scale and water stain adhere to the surface of the humidification filter 24 can be peeled off in the water storage part 27, so as to maintain water absorbing and humidifying performance of the humidification filter 24 for a long time. Since the peeling of the solid matters is performed in water, the peeled scale etc. is precipitated and accumulated on the bottom of the water storage part 27, so as to prevent the peeled solid matters from scattering in the air and adhering again to the humidification filter 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
