<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dividing device that can remove a fine cullet, even if generated, simultaneously with dividing, while being able to obtain a clear dividing surface which hardly causes cracks and breakage when dividing a brittle material substrate with a three-point bending system. <P>SOLUTION: The dividing device includes: a table 10 which mounts a brittle material substrate 1 on which a scribe line S is formed on a surface; a pair of upper part break bars 4 which are arranged to straddle both sides near the upper part of a scribe line S and press down the surface of the brittle material substrate 1; a lower part break bar 5 which is arranged directly under the scribe line S and thrusts up the brittle material substrate 1 directly from under the scribe line S to divide the substrate 1; an elastic pressing member 6 which is arranged right above the scribe line S and prevents the substrate 1 when divided, from jumping to the upper part when divided by flexibly pressing the dividing edge part; and a cullet suction means which is arranged near the elastic pressing member 6, and is equipped with a suction opening 20 which sucks the cullet generated when the substrate 1 is divided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
