<p>The restoring machine (1) has a main conveyor (13) to issue book cover (2) sequentially or successively in a horizontal transport plane (P) along a transport direction (A) of a feed motion. A programmable bonding group is provided with a movable sputtering adhesive distributer. The adhesive distributer is movable with a back and forth motion in a direction (C) orthogonal to transport direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for restoring of books.</p>
