[Class 125 (i).] The base of a glass bottle is formed with an inwardly tapering portion B, having a gradually increasing cross section, and, at the junction of the side wall C with the base, the radius of curvature of the inner surface is greater than that of the outer surface. The thickness of the portion A is preferably at least three times that of the wall. |
