<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection element and a radiographic image photographing device which are capable of reliably detecting radiation even when the irradiation area of radiation is set to be small. <P>SOLUTION: In a detection area for detecting radiation, a plurality of pixels 20 including pixels 20A for radiation image photographing and pixels 20B for radiation detection are provided in matrix.
