<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mixing property of fresh air and burned gas as much as possible upon reopening an exhaust valve during an intake stroke. <P>SOLUTION: The circumference edges of openings 41, 43 of a first intake port 12 and a first exhaust port 14, respectively, close to a combustion chamber 6, are chamfered to form tapered faces 51, 53 with the diameters increasing toward the combustion chamber 6. The tapering angle θ3 on the tapered face 53 in the first exhaust port 14 is set to be smaller than the tapering angle θ1 on the tapered face 51 of the first intake port 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
