<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power receiving device capable of operating even when power consumption of a load of its own device exceeds a specified value. <P>SOLUTION: A power receiving device 2, that receives communication data and power supply from a power supply device 1 via a communication cable 1a, includes a power consumption limiting circuit 7 that limits the power supplied from the power supply device 1 to a predetermined power value or less, an auxiliary power supply circuit 10 that can supply power to its own device, and a control circuit 5 that determines whether its own power consumption is within the power value range given by the power consumption limiting circuit 7 or not, and controls the auxiliary power supply circuit 10 to supply power to its own device when it is determined that the power consumption exceeds the range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
