<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element that has high productivity by improving the yield without spoiling basic properties of the organic electroluminescence element, and has a multi-unit structure. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence element has charge generation layers which generate holes and electrons by applying an electric field between an anode and a cathode, and a plurality of light emitting units interposed between the anode and the cathode with the charge generation layers therebetween. The light emitting unit comprises a plurality of organic compound layers, and at least one organic compound layer or at least one charge generation layer is formed by a transfer method.
