<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device of a string-like foreign matter for railway vehicle doors, capable of detecting a string-like foreign matter caught in the railway vehicle doors. <P>SOLUTION: A stereo camera SC is installed on a platform of a station. The stereo camera SC detects a center position of right and left doors of the railway vehicle when they are closed from a distance image, and detects a position of a person based on the distance image. The stereo camera SC further detects whether or not a linear pattern exists between the center position of the right and left doors and the person, and outputs an alarm signal according to the detection state of the linear pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
