PURPOSE: An LED illumination module and a backlight unit using the same are provided to improve LED efficiency, color rendering, and front side illumination by including a micro-lens array sheet in the LED illumination module and to efficiently form white light for illumination. CONSTITUTION: An LED module(100) comprises a plurality of LEDs(110). A micro-lens array sheet(230) forms an optical pattern which is arranged on an optical emitting direction of the LED. A fluorescence sheet(210) or a diffuse sheet(220) is arranged between the LED module and the micro-lens array sheet. The micro-lens array sheet controls an angle of light which passes through the fluorescence sheet or the diffuse sheet. The micro-lens array sheet eliminates a hot spot. |
