<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor capable of improving detection accuracy of the temperature of an object. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature sensor comprises: an infrared sensor 100 having a temperature sensing part (a thermoelectric converting part) 30 constructed from thermopiles 30a that converts heat energy generated by infrared ray radiated from an object 400 into electrical energy; and a computing part 124 for computing the temperature of the object 400 based on the output of the infrared sensor 100. The computing part 124 computes the temperature of the object 400 employing a computing equation obtained by assuming that an output voltage of the infrared sensor 100 is proportional to a difference between the absorbed energy density of the infrared sensor 100 that is expressed according to Planck's radiation law and that depends on the temperature of the object 400 and the radiant energy density of the infrared sensor 100 that is expressed according to Stefan-Boltzmann's radiation law and that depends on the temperature of the infrared sensor 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
