<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fasten rebuilt processing without reducing the performance of a storage device, and to also deal with the occurrence of an unexpected failure during rebuild processing. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device 2 includes: a plurality of magnetic disk devices 21, 22, 23 each having a write cache; a processor section 11 for redundantly storing data; a rebuild execution control section 13 for performing rebuild processing; a write cache control section 15 for validating the write cache of the storage device for storing data rebuilt during rebuild processing; and a rebuild progress management section 14 configured using a non-volatile memory, for managing progress information of rebuild processing. When the storage device is powered off during rebuild processing and then powered on again, on the basis of the progress information of rebuild processing managed by the progress management section, the rebuild execution control section 13 calculates an address preceding for the capacity of the write cache from an address of rebuilt data written most recently, and resumes rebuild processing from the calculated address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
