<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered glass granule that allows a solid produced by removing solvent from a waste liquid to be easily attached on a surface of non-molten glass particles by increasing a contact area between the non-molten glass particles and the waste liquid and to provide manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A sintered glass granule is used for solidifying a component produced by removing solvent from a waste liquid with molten glass, and is obtained by sintering glass powder having a softening point in the range of 500°C or more and 1200°C or less, and has a water absorption in the range of 10% or more and 80% or less and a crush strength in the range of 1.0 kgf/granule or more and 20.0 kgf/granule or less. A method comprises a step of sintering a kneaded material containing a glass powder, a solid binder, a liquid binder, and diluted nitric acid at a temperature in the range from 350°C or more to the temperature equal to or less than the softening point of the glass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
