<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device that prevents the breakage of a conveying guide arranged at the door of a device body, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet conveying unit 1a includes a printer body 2 having a sheet conveying path for conveying a sheet S internally, and the door 7 supported openably and closably to the printer body 2. The sheet conveying unit includes: a reverse path guide 71, which is openably attached to a first door 70, for forming the sheet conveying path openable while the first door 70 is opened; a holding unit for holding the reverse path guide 71, which openably supports the reverse path guide 71 to the first door 70, and also which holds the reverse path guide 71 opened while the first door 70 is opened; and a link unit 74 which is linked to the first door 70 and interlocked with an opening and closing operation of the first door 70.
