<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-assisted recording medium with adequately reduced exchange bonds between magnetic particles and small cluster size and to provide a magnetic storage device using the medium. <P>SOLUTION: In a magnetic recording medium having a substrate, a plurality of primary layers provided on the substrate, and a magnetic layer with an alloy with a L1<SB POS="POST">0</SB>structure as main component, there is used a heat-assisted magnetic recording medium in which at least one of the primary layers is Ru or an alloy having an HCP structure with Ru as main component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
