IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can appropriately correct stereoscopic-viewable images for a left eye and a right eye by setting a γ curve to correct the images for a left eye and a right eye without causing overexposure or underexposure.

SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes means to create an integrated histogram by using at least a larger degree of degrees for respective gradation in histograms of a left eye image and a right eye image after comparing the degrees for respective gradation in histograms of the left eye image and the right eye image; and to correct gradation for the left eye image and the right eye image by using a gradation correction parameter after setting the gradation correction parameter on a basis of the created integrated histogram.
