<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire with which, when provided with a belt layer formed by pulling a plurality of single-line steel wires into alignment and embedding them in rubber, rolling resistance can be reduced, maintaining the tire durability performance well. <P>SOLUTION: In this pneumatic radial tire, in which the belt layer 8 formed by pulling a plurality of single-line steel wires 10 into alignment and embedding them in rubber is disposed on an outer peripheral side of a carcass layer 4 of a tread part 1, a wire diameter d of the single-line steel wire 10 is set at 0.25-0.40 mm, tensile strength S (MPa) of the single-line steel wire 10 is set to satisfy formula S≥3,870-2,000×d in relation to the wire diameter d, each single-line steel wire 10 is given a twist around an axis thereof, and the wire surface twist angle θ against the axial direction of the single-line steel wire 10 is set at 1°or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
