摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion device and a manufacturing method thereof capable of attaining high photoelectric conversion efficiency even in the case of using a dye which includes an acidic functional group such a carboxylic acid tending to aggregate as an adsorption group, as a sensitizing dye. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion device includes an electrolyte layer between a porous semiconductor layer in which the sensitizing dye is adsorbed and a counter electrode. The manufacturing method includes the step of neutralizing, using a substance having a plurality of acidic functional groups for being adsorbed in the porous semiconductor layer as a molecule of the sensitizing dye, part of these acidic functional groups with an alkali compound consisting of a hydroxide of at least one kind of metal or compound selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, K, tetra methyl ammonium, tetra ethyl ammonium, tetra propyl ammonium, tetra butyl ammonium, imidazolium compounds and pyridinium compounds. A neutralization factor of the acidic functional groups is 0.25-0.75 to the number of the acidic functional groups in the molecule of the sensitizing dye, preferably 0.35-0.65. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
