<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect whether an electromagnetic actuator is connected or not and whether a solenoid of the connected actuator is disconnected or not. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, under a control of a CPU 11, a transistor Tr1 PWM controls a power input to a solenoid 21 of an electromagnetic actuator 20 to PWM drive the electromagnetic actuator 20; at an OFF timing of the PWM drive of the electromagnetic actuator 20, a voltage detection section 30 comprising a filter Ft, a diode D1, and a resistance R1 detects a voltage generated in the solenoid 21 of the electromagnetic actuator 20 and inputs it in an input terminal of the CPU 11; and the CPU 11 determines whether the electromagnetic actuator 20 is connected or not and whether the solenoid 21 is disconnected or not based on the detected voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
