<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an image processing apparatus, and an image processing method capable of searching a luminescent spot efficiently to shorten a processing time of a cross-filter process. <P>SOLUTION: Luminance detection image data is read in p-pixel unit in a luminescent spot search process (step S702). In the case that any luminance value of the p pixels is not zero, luminescent spot search in a pixel unit is executed (steps S706-S708). After the luminescent spot search for one pixel is terminated, luminescent spot search for a pixel of a coordinate separated by a discrete step width w in a right direction from the pixel that was a target of luminescent spot search until then is executed.
