<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for capacitor having a large capacitance per volume without causing variation in the situation of active carbon by increasing the pressure during molding, for example, in the manufacturing process of the electrode for capacitor, and to provide the method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for capacitor uses carbon black 1 produced by irradiating an electrode material with plasma.
