<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow initial setting to be done by simple operation from an image forming apparatus, the initial setting performing radio communication by a communication device for radio communication connected to a wired network provided in the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: If an external connection determination unit 14 of an image forming device 1 determines that a radio bridge 2 is connected, by receiving a radio bridge response frame to a search frame from the radio bridge 2, a CPU 10 downloads an initial setting program from the radio bridge 2 and stores the initial setting program in an external device setting ROM 13, activates the initial setting program, displays an initial setting screen of the radio bridge 2 on an operation display unit 16. If an SSID, a channel or a setting value for encryption of the radio bridge 2 is input, accordingly, the CPU 10 performs the initial setting of the radio bridge 2 by performing initial setting processing to the radio bridge 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
