<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device and a signal processing method for optimal gain-correction of a luminance signal output from an infrared camera independently of the environment. <P>SOLUTION: In an imaging device 100 which corrects, on the basis of a gain value, a luminance value relating to a luminance signal output from an imaging element 11 of the imaging device 100 having a plurality of imaging elements 11, a temperature resolution acquisition unit 21 identifies minimum temperature resolution expressing the lowest temperature which can be measured by the imaging element 11.
