The system has a main heat exchanger and a throttle. A control heat exchanger (1) is provided in supplement to the main heat exchanger. The main and the control heat exchanger are arranged in series. The throttle is arranged such that an actuator provided for a primary medium i.e. heating water, is influenced based on a temperature gauge on a secondary medium and/or a temperature gauge in a heat return flow of the primary medium. The control heat exchanger is arranged upstream of the main heat exchanger. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for retrofitting a building and/or part of a building with a control heat exchanger (2) a method for providing a primary medium heated secondary medium.
