<p>A building block prepared in a mould and formed from a cementitious mix wherein the mix includes the ingredients; fine sand, cement, coarse cellulose fibre and water.The 0 coarse cellulose fibre comprises the highest proportion of the mix constituents. The ingredients of the mix are blended in the following proportions; Sawdust: within the range 23 litres to 35 litres (2.3 -- 2.9 parts) Fine Sand: within the range II litres to 23 litres (1.7-- 23 parts) Cement: 1.0Kg (1 part) 5 Water: within the range 12 litres to 14 litres (1.2 pails) The dry density of the mix ranges between 700kg/m3 and 1500kg/rml3 and the sand includes fines in a proportion per unit volume greater than 10% which would pass through a 150 micron mesh; the fine sand including silica and/or clay (alumina) with the proportion of silica greater than the proportion of alumina.</p> |
